Friendly staff. Comfy seats in cinema. Good variety of movies. Awesome snacks. Prices way too high for good. 1 ice cream costs $4.00 but you can buy a 2 litre tub of ice cream for less than that.
The staff were great. The seating was a bit old school, luckily no one was behind us so we moved to avoid the person's head in front obstructing the screen. But there were 12 minutes of adverts followed by several trailers. We could have turned up 20 minutes late and still made the movie.
The theatre itself is okay but the seats are absolutely filthy. Because patrons go into the theatre when it's relatively dark they can't see the cleanliness of the seats. I had to turn my phone light on to check my seat number and after brushing off the crumbs I could see the discusting state of the seats. I checked other ones around me trying to find a clean one but they were all badly stained, I didn't want to sit on them. You don't find filthy dirty seats in the theatre on a cruise ship, it shouldn't be any different here.
Very comfortable seats here at this cinema and the sound quality of the cinemas has improved i felt from the last time I was here a lot more crisp and clear. very friendly staff when purchasing my ticket everytime. Great place to bring the entire family down. 1 thing I would change and think they could improve on is adding more snacks to the menu.
Much easier access for wheelchair users than the other local cinema in town. Have an elevator to get up to the cinemas. Only downside is there isn't much long term free accessible parking near by so you have to trek a wee bit but the service is good and points for accessibility guys!
They recently hosted a work event that somehow had the caterers bookings mixed up. But no problems on the night as they worked hard and made good the evening with little fuss or any visible issues. Well Done
Lovely service. But was let down by the state of the bathrooms and Cinemas themselves. Incredibly difficult to find seat numbers in M-row of Cinema 1 without a flashlight and there was rubbish everywhere. And there was no arm rest between M8/M9 in Cinema 1 so if you have someone you don't know next to you you'll be very close to them.
When they eventually got the movie going it was fine ... but 25 minutes of ads and trailers is a bit excessive I think. Movie was timetables to begin at 6.25pm, never started until 6.50pm. Not impressed.
I am a movie buff. Probably been to most event theaters in NZ now. This one sits right in the middle. Staff are usually friendly. Building on the inside needs some love. And the sound in Cinema 4 is off treble sounds muffled. Time for an upgrade. Always a fun experience though.
A lovely little complex. There are various deals available to reduce the cost of going out to the movies. I like the sessions that they've organised for older folk that includes an afternoon tea - a lovely community thing to do.
