Story

Evans has been proudly developing a tradition of fine workmanship for over 60 years in the Royal Arcade, Melbourne. The company was founded by Evan Skliros - better known within the Arcade as "Mr. Evans" - a highly renowned leather craftsman. The workshop continues to provide bespoke repair and restoration services for shoe, handbag and leather goods of high sentimental or commercial value.

I found Evans on line. I live in Brisbane and they are based in Melbourne. The whole experience was so easy. I emailed them and they responded . We corresponded back and forth with queries. All were answered promptly. They shipped a box to me with all address labels and packaging for my shoes. Once they completed my shoes, they shipped it back to me in a very well packaged box. The shoes were back to new, and they went above and beyond to what I expected. Would go back there in a second for any future repairs.
So happy with the service and care Evans provided. Customer service was fabulous from my first phone call to attention in store. My repaired D&G boots, which I had left with them in their original box arrived via post in a gorgeous larger box, my original box inside a protective material bag. Thank you for your care, workmanship and stand out customer service. Much appreciated and you have a customer for life!! Highly recommend.
Absolute rip-off! Go elsewhere. My CK backpack needed to be repaired; literally a couple of stitches on one of the straps as seen in the photo. Evans quoted me $250!! That's almost what I paid for the bag itself, for a few stitches! I ended up going to Cobbleron who fixed it for $55
EXEMPLARY SERVICE. After a misunderstanding regarding the repair of a favourite pair of shoes I was blown away by the corrective action of Zoe of Evans. In all my retail experience I have never encountered such a professional, courteous and comprehensive apology, and follow up. All within hours of visiting the shop I was messaged a range of options with photographs to facilitate my preferred choice of repair. My shoes were ready the next morning looking fabulous. Thank you Zoe and Evans’ Cobbler for service I won’t forget.
Absolutely awesome service from the Evans team. I had an old tanner and Krolle bag and the handle had dried and cracked. The Evens team handmade a new handle, but the best is yet to come, they did it twice to get the best match. Thank you Evans team!

Staff Milly was so kind. I watched her as I was in que put up.with over bearing rude clients. She was always calm and collected. Returning for sure for the patience staff have. Sorry for all the other karens and rude people who come in! Nobody deserves to be treated poorly whatsoever.
Zoe was so patient! She is quite knowledgable on quoting worn and pre loved items. She is honest with whay needs to be repaired down from seams,zups,inner lining and strap replacements. Great place to get preloved shoes,bags and belts cleaned and repaired.
