Brooke from Europe Car Alexandria is fabulous. Without knowing what I wanted she helped me extensively over the phone. I then collected the car where she again helped most efficiently and kindly. I didn’t get the car I wanted but because of Brooke’s customer service - I really didn’t care in the end. She was fabulous and made my car rental experience extremely easy. Thanks again Brooke, keep up those positive vibes. It changed the whole experience for some.
The Staff were extremely helpfully and easy to speak with, their service was fantastic and the car which was an insurance replacement loan car I had for a month was very clean and had no mechanical problems at all. Pick up and Return was easy. I highly recommend the location as it's easily accessible via train airport line and of course no airport fees as an added expense.
This must be the most unprofessional car rental organization for have ever dealt with. I have travelled the world for over 20yrs renting vehicles wherever I go. Never had a problem where I have a reservation over a week in advance, they cancel it on me. Then I have to call them to change cars, they don’t call you. Just when I am about to pick up the car, they cancel again saying they have no cars. No apologies or any help whats so ever. If I could give them a minus I would
AVOID AT ALL COST! Extremely dishonest staff. The rental agreement states $13/day to reduce the excess. It was also confirmed by staff 3 times verbally when I was there. They charged $17/ day. Cars are also not cleaned between rental I found the previous renter’s set of keys in the car. I requested a car with boot space, they were nice enough to accommodate however, they left 2 Kids car seats which I didn’t requested in the boot taking all the boot space. I did not realise it until I reached my destination: I had to drive back to drop them off. At my own cost of fuel of course. I tried to make a claim for the extra charge but it was a total lost of time.
Terrible customer service, I said i did not want extra insurance, got a phone call and had to take it as i had just been hit by a car and this was my higher car given to me from insurers. Didnt check what they took a deposit for , they only email you the contract , as soon as i saw i had been charged it when i got home I rang and complained but the girl was so rude and said it was my fault , even though there was two of us knowing we said we didnt want it, i never get angry and she made me so ange=ry with her rudeness. Spoke to Manager the next day who reassured me i would get the money back at the end of higher. However after numerous calls got told to email else where, and they were just as rude and couldn't get it back. Think they do this on purpose, as i have seen other reviews. Brook the manager was nice to deal with not that it helped, it was a lot of money, go else where.
STAY AWAY - WOW. Is europcar now a family run business, the staff don't speak English to each other? Absolutely no accountability. Calling the branch all morning with no answer, I turn up, call the number and the phone rings, I ask the staff member why they don't answer the phone, aparently very busy. This company is a disgrace.
Doufail, the service person at Europcar Sydney Alexandria, was extremely helpful recently when I needed to hire a truck. A true gentleman.
If I could give less 1 star I would. I booked a dual cab, ute with a hard lidded cover for an important job. The car I was given was an absolutely filthy commercial ute that stank of cigarettes. It was also only 3/4 full. See photos of expected vehicle vs one received. I needed the vehicle immediately and had no other option but to take it as the person at the counter told me they had nothing else to give me. When I emailed to request a partial refund, I received a response saying they were looking into my claim. Then nothing. I sent 2 follow up emails. Still nothing. So I sent the full email chain along with all the photos below through to their website portal. A man called me back not long after telling me there was nothing they could do and blaming me for not booking the correct car. He said I was told that it would be a commercial ute by who?. I thought I was booking something similar to the one in the photo. I would've been happy with any make as long as it was clean and with a closed tray. How can they use the below photo if what you're actually renting is something used in the mines? The phone call was awful - he spoke down to me, gave me no other options and told me I had made the mistake. He even deign to tell me that they hadn't charged for the extra petrol. What do you mean? It wasn't full when we picked it up. A total waste of time and energy to have even called me in the first place if that is the attitude you're going to take. Terrible experience. Will never use Europcar again.
Was asked to take a seat upon arrival and I waited as they served customers that had arrived after me. Thankfully, I had a few dead cockroaches in the lobby to keep me company as I waited. The paperwork was relatively smooth, although I thought the requirement to get a copy of my Medicare card was pretty strange. The thing that was stressed most was I would be charged $4/L if I did not bring the car back full of petrol. The irony of which was not lost when a fellow customer received a car that was not full of fuel. The car was in good condition. Washer fluid was empty upon pickup. There was a used COVID test in the glove box. Lovely! Still, I could have overlooked these had it not been for a phone call I received asking me to bring the car back before the rental period had finished. "It's listed to be sold" I was told. I informed the operator that I had hired and paid! for the car for two weeks and it's unreasonable to expect me to take 2 hours out of my day to exchange a car. I also noted that surely Europcar either a knew it was going to be sold and should have given me a different car, or b wait 3 more days until my hire period finished. But obviously I was being unreasonable in my expectations. The operator, with a good deal of passive aggression, said "fine" I could keep the car, but it would be "out of registration". I noted to the operator, that I don't really have an option if the car is going to be unregistered, do I? I asked when the registration lapsed, to which I did not receive an answer. Also, the sign is obscured so good luck finding the driveway whilst travelling along a busy Bourke Street.
Top service, in and out in no time. They advertise starting at 7:30 but open at 8 which is bad in winter. Cars look cheap, office need an upgrade urgently
