Absolute stranger and New customer in Sydney. The manager Ali and his associates worked with me to facilitate an upgrade that was not only acceptable but awesome. From running my own customer aquistion company's around Australia I know what it takes and what it means for great Customer service and Ali and his team surely delivered. -Compliments to the team and give Ali a promotion for his problem solving and holiday solutions. Very happy.

I wish I could give 0 or even minus stars!!! Here's the story: I booked a BMW 430i convertible for Sat 24th Feb. I contacted call centre several times throughout the week to ensure I'll pick up the exact same car and they said SURE!NO DOUBT, WE'RE WAITING FOR YOU!! On the day, I drove to airport(25km from my place), arrived in Europcar office and one of the staff(Neel) called us at the counter. This man had absolute zero sense of customer service. No respect, no eye contact when asking questions and constantly jumping off his desk to do something else...Anyways, after asking for 2 credit cards(why one isn't enough?) and taking 10 minutes to fill out forms, he finally looked at us and said:"Sorry, the car you booked in is not available due to a recent accident. I can give you a BMW X5 as an alternate option." I looked at my brother and asked wether he is serious or not?? First of all, if something like this happens the minimum you expect is to receive a phone call informing that your booking has changed due to whatever reason so I don't have to waste my time, pay expensive airport car park and also can contact some other car rental! Secondly, why should I swap a convertible sport with an family car or SUV?? Is this how to apologies a customer? I spoke with their supervisor and he was silent at all time. Of course, he could say sorry but he DID NOT!! SO we walked out disappointed. Warning!! Europcar rental system is a joke just stay out! Other competitors are far much better with their customer service.

actually wanted to rate a 0 star! super super “efficient” staff, takes 50 minuets to serve 2 customers ahead of me! the car is ok but far from flawless!

Booked and payed online which doesn't tell you exactly how much the airport charges you will have to pay on the day. Very easy to assume you are hiring a small car for the day for $112 and you end up paying near $190 If you use a debit card as a deposit you will lose $400 cash out of your account for 10 days. Cars engine light was on, low oil light was on and barely made it to my appointments because of engine faults. Overall friendly staff but not real interested in going above and beyond for the customer. Perhaps a a HR problem upstairs rolling down on the staff at face to face. EXperience was pricey and stressful for the day. Obviously a one off.... Maybe?

No info that an etag was built into the car. Borrowed a friend's etag to get around Sydney to only be charged by europcar with a commission. Would have took 5 seconds to explain or even leave a final note of "important things to know" like other car rentals in sydney. Simply pathetic
