Always love the markets here on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Will make time to visit one of those days. Travelling through?? Make the effort and stop for a feed, some shopping and some cultural enhancement!! . Make sure you visit this art stall - originals and prints - unique and lovely.
A decent third visit but starting to feel 'same old, same old'.... Nothing new and same old hard-sells from small business owners you have previously spent a decent amount of money with and they don't even glance in your direction for a good while. So sad to see so many empty unit spaces too but I guess that's just a reflection of the global economic crisis.
Took our friends from Melbourne here. They loved walking around and chatting to vendors. My friend was able to buy some products that she saw at my home for her kitchen and we both bought some well priced linen clothes. Was not too busy on a Friday.
Great market. High quality items with very amiable and chatty vendors. Had a good time with a coffee in hand wandering in the sun. Also various food stalls for all tastes, we sampled everything from momos to cinnamon doughnuts. All of it was very fresh, especially as we have tried a few food carts over the years!
The locals are warm, wonderful and hospitable.nGreat variety of local products to choose from and at affordable prices.nIt is a truly fantastic market atmosphere .nI give my utmost respect to the volunteers from Project Vietnam, who carefully marshalled the traffic smoothly and safely around the market.nCheers, mates!
