I spent the afternoons here. It's a good place to visit even when it was showering. It was also nice to sit down for coffee, tea, or milkshakes at the Driftwood Cafe.nThere were a variety of toastiest scones, muffins, and cakes there, too. I had the lemon muffin and an English breakfast tea. There was a new art display beginning this month,this one is for Autusm awareness. They were on sale, and the displays were varied and interesting.nOutside was interesting as was the walkway that ran along the river.
Always great to view their latest exhibitions. Regularly changed and widely varying. You can join and exhibit if you're a good enough artist
The art gallery is relatively small and packed with numerous Maori art pieces. The overall ambiance is average, but there is a slight sense of outdatedness in its atmosphere. Fantastic selection of artists and artwork. Good selection of originals and limited prints. Highly recommended.
