I have been with estuary arts Centre for some years now. They provide a wide range of classes, workshops, activities and exhibitions. I have participated in many of them. Really enjoyed them all. I just finished my soft pastel painting classes with Nicola Warner, she is great, and I have learned a lot and really enjoyed the class. Highly recommended.nnOh, they also has a cafe onsite, a gallery art shop. Great location and beautiful view too. Great to pay a visit even when passing by.
The art gallery areas changes constantly. Always interesting and provides an insight into the wide range of talents in the local area. The recent NZ wide pastels show was outstanding. The various art classes are well organised with a range of excellent tutors. The cafe is worth a visit and highly recommended.
A great class! Kate is a fantastic instructor. She provides a welcoming environment, clear demonstrations, and great individualized guidance. The classes are challenging at times but I've learned so much and will be back next term.
I spent the afternoons here. It's a good place to visit even when it was showering. It was also nice to sit down for coffee, tea, or milkshakes at the Driftwood Cafe.nThere were a variety of toastiest scones, muffins, and cakes there, too. I had the lemon muffin and an English breakfast tea. There was a new art display beginning this month, this one is for Autusm awareness. They were on sale, and the displays were varied and interesting.nOutside was interesting as was the walkway that ran along the river.
I’m a local from the area that recently participated in a term of beginner pottery on the wheel. Such a good experience. Emma, our instructor is great! Patient, helpful, enthusiastic and full of practical knowledge. Highly recommended…
