Our experience with cake orders has been near perfection every single time. Recent order was a two tier Sonic themed cake with caramel and choco swirl flavour that tasted amazing. We have had 3 orders so far and we will order again. Highly recommend!!
Ordered a Mango/Coconut Mud Cake for husbands birthday, over the years I have used Essence Patisserie on numerous occasions & always been excellent. This time the cake was average, the icing just crumbled & fell off cake as soon as the knife entered the cake, it was dry & I sensed maybe not as fresh & it should be.. would definitely have second thoughts about ordering here again.
Best cake we have ever tasted. I have ordered couple of times and Natalie will always amaze us with her skills. We really appreciate your talent . Cake looks soooo perfect and we don’t feel like cutting it . But when we cut it we dont stop eating. It’s very moist and delicious. Thank you for giving us the best cake every time.
WOW, absolutely wow! Highly recommend Essence Patisserie. Thank you so much for the most stunning wedding cake. The cake was absolutely delicious, so moist, airy and light. Also those sugar flowers, oh my goodness, they were just amazing and matched our wedding flowers to a tee! We had so many people comment on how beautiful it all looked and tasted. Definitely our go to from now on for all cake needs!!!
Wow! I was absolutely speechless when I picked up my sons 21st birthday cake! It was so much more than I ever expected. Wonderful service and full flavored pies, the Essence Patesserie is a cute gourmet bakery that not only serves pastries but also sweet delicious cakes. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Its my first time here and I'm very impressed and will be returning. If you can't find a good pie joint and your local, come grab a coffee. I'm not surprised at all that this place has a high rating.
I ordered custom cupcakes and they turned out exactly as I envisioned and also tasted delicious. It was a perfect thank you gift for our guests. The ordering process was simple and easy too.
Wow. Just wow. What an incredible patisserie. They were able to make the most PERFECT 1st birthday cake for my daughter. It was absolutely incredible and tasted so so good. Great little shop. Pastries and pies are very good, cakes look amazing I’m yet to try. Coffee is pretty good for out in the wild Wild West of Sydney. I stop here whenever I’m working in the area.
I appear to be one of the unfortunate few that have had a bad experience with Essence, which is extremely sad as I had the highest regards for them. I ordered a mini tart box for an event, with the tarts to be featured as the highlight of the desert table. Visually the tarts were beautiful, a stand out! Sadly, that's where it ended. Taste wise they were a flop. The bases were hard as rock Note- they had been taken out of the fridge 40 minutes prior to being served to soften, as if they were overcooked, with a poor 10% filling to accompany. Far from the crumbly, soft tart texture I was expecting. Of the 36 I ordered, 6 were eaten / bitten into and tossed and a few palmed off. Leaving approx half left over. Disappointing to say the least! To top it off, I noticed a short while later that one of the tarts had a hair baked into it. Far from acceptable hygienic practices. I have tried to rectify the issue with management to no avail. Here's to hoping others have a better experience. *EDIT - Response to Owner Thanks for taking the time to reply, Brendan. It was actually five days from my initial contact that I had brought the hair to your attention. My work/life schedule is a little chaotic, alike many other individuals, so my apologies. Like I had mentioned in our previous emails, the leftover tarts had remained in the fridge after the event. All efforts were made to bring them back into Essence after I had notified you of the hair, but unfortunately plans changed and I had to attend to other commitments. Knowing we were not going to come to an agreeable resolution, the tarts were disposed. Surely customers cannot be expected to keep a perishable product whilst discussions are in place, and based upon your wording within the emails there was nothing to consider on your end....These are how the bases are made, this is how it's done and that it that. Every complaint I tried to raise, whether immediately like the bases or within the following email like the filling ratio and hair were met with defensive responses and an unwillingness to assist. Simply demanding them be brought back isn't assistive. Again, Brendan, I say, thank you for your time and best wishes for the future.
