The basic premise of The Escape Club is that you and a bunch of friends are locked inside a "puzzle room" with a certain theme and must escape within a set time limit. I performed the prison escape themed room with three other friends and it was awesome. Intelligent contraptions needed to be built and utilised, number puzzles needed to be solved and team work was absolutely essential. The decor of the place was a bit dated but that only added to the atmosphere of needing to quickly escape a dangerous environment. Highly memorable and enjoyable experience overall.
Don't be fooled by its location or lack of fancy decor, Esc Club is a pretty fun activity to be had with friends. In a group of five we played prison break, and were locked in a room for an hour where we scrounged around for clues, problem solved as a team and argued over lock combinations. We recovered well from accidental almost game-breakers and it got pretty hectic toward the end! Will definitely try some more puzzles again soon.
