This is a really handy vege and grocery store, stocking all the basics, good quality veges add open into the evening.
This small family-run business offers unique products and a kind of service you will not get at Woolworths. It’s the little things that make this business special. To explain what kind of business this is, I’ll share a recent story. In a rush to get to work and grab a pack of celery sticks on the way to the train station, I realised they didn’t sell snack sized packs, only whole celeries. The gentleman who worked at the store offered to cut them up for me. Thank you Fruit Village!
I just got charged $15.60 for 2 mandarins and a small bag of grapes. WTAF?? Never going back to get swindled again. THEY never told me the price, you can't see the total anywhere. They just stuck it through.
They charged me $12 for 4L of milk that was marked at $7. Unfortunately I only noticed the contactless payment notification when I got home. I honestly don’t mind the prices being a bit more than a big supermarket chain, but there’s no need to add on another $5. I see from other reviews I’m not the first to experience this.
A little local gem. For a very small store they have just about all the fresh produce and non-perishables you’d need to cook just about anything. The fruit and veg selection is plentiful, and there’s stacks of cheeses, meats, herbs spices, oils, bread and more.
The prices here are quite high and you need to watch for prices when you go to the checkout to pay. I bought a few things a number of times and found I was overcharged. They also never provide you with a receipt of items bought, When you request a receipt they only provide you with an eftpos receipt. I try to avoid this place and just take the extra walk up to Woolworths instead.
Good prices, especially for in season fruit and veg, and lovely owners. Lots of interesting dried goods from around the world :
Fruit and veggies very fresh for a reasonable price, they have a lot of good products for such a small shop.
Lovely family-run supermarket with quality fruit and veg. Decent prices on their produce too.
You should always ask customers if they need a bag or not even if they buy a few things.
