The staff at Epworth Richmond who we met on the day were all very helpful. The doctor especially. She spent the time required for us to understand what was going on. And then she made more time to look into things further no need to go into personal details here. I would be happy to recommend Epworth, considering our positive experience there.
Massive thank you to the doctors and to my 2CATO Nurses: Nurse Riva, Nurse Jess, and Nurse Francis who took care of me after my surgery. I was well looked after during my recovery. Food selection and taste were very good as well. It is my second surgery and I can’t help but be disappointed as I didn’t get a private room again. Last time, the patient beside me was having a coughing fit. This time, patients in the ward are snoring. It’s a bit uncomfortable sharing the space with other people. I’m not sure why they have so many wards instead of private rooms. Would be better if it’s the other way around.
I was admitted to Epworth Richmond through their ED. My experience during my 10 days stay was excellent. Doctors were nice and very professional, nurses were friendly and caring however some of their duties and communications could be done or handled in better way. Catering staff were very effective and polite. Foods were like that in a 5 stars restaurant and plenty of it too. My experience with Epworth Richmond was great with some exceptions and improvements, like behaviour and communication for example, required from not all but certainly some nurses there.
Was not happy as the nurses took my antidepressant off me to put away. They were to give me my medication with other medication I was to have after my operation. They only gave it to me once and never after that. It wasn’t until I got home after spending 5 days in hospital that I realised as I was feeling really bad that they didn’t offer me my medication. I suffered really bad as you must not suddenly stop this medication. It even says this on the box!! It is very bad for you. I had an awful experience and I would never return to this hospital again. I had a major operation to deal with and along with this. I do not rate this hospital at all!
Currently, I’m in the ward after an operation. I have met lots if staffs, doctors and nurses, today and all of them have a heart of gold. They keep trying to put my mind at ease. Especially thanks to, I can’t remember all names, but who done the admission and who took care of me in the waking room and Alvin. I do appreciate it.
I have nothing but praise for Epworth Richmond. I visited The ER on Christmas' eve with extricating pain due to ruptured appendix. Although I had to endure pain and long wait time, it was removed on that same day. Dr Osama Yoshjno did the surgery and I could only imagine what a mess the rupture had made within my abdominal area, he did an exceptional job because my recovery is fast. All the medical staff I met during my 4 day stay were very friendly and helpful which gives me a lot of confidence before and after the surgery. The lady who brought me meals was so kind and funny, I wish I could eat more. Although this incident was totally unexpected for Christmas but I am grateful for all your care. Keep it up. Glad I picked this hospital and not ended up with something more serious.
Had a great experience at Epworth Richmond. My cardiac surgery went off well. The staff were professional. The heating in the room was a bit high and I struggled to sleep. This is only reason that I didn't give it a 5 star. The head of the nurse station Charles Bonavia went beyond expectation. He escorted my family and myself to the car. He showed a lot of empathy and compassion. The food was better than other hospitals and many restaurants.
I spent the day at Epworth Richmond ED and couple of days ago and right from the minute we arrived they were fantastic. The nursing staff were absolutely amazing all day. Always checking on me and very attentive to my needs. The Dr’s were very much the same and did not give up on finding what was causing me to be there. Could not fault any of the staff at all and would recommend anyone that needs urgent medical attention to certainly head to the Epworth Richmond Emergency Department to trust them to look after them.
Attended ED because our young daughter had unusual rashes on her legs. The nurses who attended to us were caring and reassuring, wait time was about 1.5-2 hours, which is quite long for private but I reckon it could be longer in our local public hospital. The doctors were very patient towards our little one, who was pretty stressed out and tired and they explained every single details to us, and made sure her blood pressure was normal and that she was properly diagnosed before sending us home a few hours later. Unfortunately I did not catch the names of the two wonderful ED doctors who took care of my daughter that evening diagnosed with Henoch-schonlein purpura, but would like to say a huge thank you to them here.
Very rude nurse. I just had an horrible experience would never recommend this hospital. I spent alot of money to have a better experience so went private but the nurses treated me so bad after my surgery is done. They gave me shared room after I spent a lot of money to staying overnight. There was a another 2 patients in the room who was snoring badly. I couldn’t slept whole night. When I ask nurse in charge to change my room or do something. She said to me you can go home mid of the night . Really disappointed and just horrible nurses there. Please don’t waste your money going to Epworth Richmond hospital.
