Dr Simon, Dr Sue Mae and all the staff at Epson Rd vet have been absolutely amazing. Very caring and thorough. Our cat Lolly is 11 and had an extensive dental clean and a couple extractions. The vets were great at explaining everything and alleviated any worries I had. Communication was outstanding as is their patient aftercare. 100% recommend.
Dr simon was a legend, patted my cat like i would and looked after her.. Gave a better price on dental treatment for and old girl than other vets and cared kuch more about her. Included pics of lou for your viewing pleasure. Will update after teeth clen and extraction if this changes!
Fantastic service. About to close and they popped my Staghound Marvin in for a last minute appointment. Thank you so much.
Oh so friendly and a true community service.
Thank you for looking after my little terrors for me. They got neutered, the vet and staff were very lovely to deal with and communicated everything well to me. I would highly recommend them.
I have suffered at the hands of some of the most dreadful vets I have ever come across and regrettably this is far from the exception. So what a breath of fresh air when Per happen chance that I came across the team at Epsom Road. What an amazing facility with absolutely incredible staff. They always work to provide the most practical, informed and balanced information and are very thorough with their explanations always being mindful of the often stressful and difficult decisions clients need to make. I would never hesitate to highly recommend these guys!
Took my dog here as she was limping on one back leg. The vet did x-rays and told me that she had knee issues. When queried why she was only limping on one leg if both knees were problematic, she said she may have strained one but was essentially trying to talk me into a $5k knee operation for my dog. I asked for the x-rays to be referred to a specialist who told Epsom Rd Vet it was actually her ankle causing the problem but the specialist hadn't been specific about what it was and they wanted me to bring my dog back for another consult to check for swelling etc this is after already seeing her twice, once being under sedation for x-rays!. I honestly don't believe the specialist hadn't identified the problem and that they were just covering themselves to diagnosis it on the next consult. I immediately shaved her leg and noticed and felt the lump on her ankle joint. They also tried to say 'these things are hard to notice because she has long hair'. Beats me why they never shaved her leg on the two seperate occasions she was in this clinic. After this, I decided to find another vet for a second and more reliable opinion. The 2nd vet advised me most of the x-rays Epsom Rd took were of the wrong leg and she actually had a chipped tibia. Had I not asked for her x-rays to be referred, these vets would of put my dog through a knee operation she didn't need and never picked up the fact that she had a chipped tibia. Wrote a complaint to them and have had no response at all. Would urge people to take their pets elsewhere, these vets are not up to standard in any way shape or form and upon further inspection, I see they have a lot of similar reviews where they are incorrectly diagnosing and recommending unnecessary surgeries.
My cat, a Russian Blue, was heavily matted and needed a hair cut. In the past he had proved vicious in resisting haircuts. We asked this vet if they could sedate the cat and took this option. The cat's demeanour has improved greatly and it now wants to be petted. Great result.
The staff here will care for, and cherish your pet as if it were their own. I have so much admiration and respect for all the veterinarians and the incredible nursing staff. You can really tell how dedicated they are to their work here and I don’t want to take my dogs anywhere else!
I have been there for a long time and they seem to have a lot of happy customers here over the years so I thought I would tell it like it is.
