Oh, where do I even begin with Emmanuel College Point Cook? First off, as a 15-year-old who can’t drive, getting there was a real adventure. I had to rely on my mom’s questionable GPS skills, and let me tell you, it’s like she was trying to make me late on purpose. I was dropped off a mile away because the “parking” situation is a total nightmare. If you’re a student trying to get to this school, just know that a scooter or a skateboard might be your best bet.nnNow, onto the campus itself. It’s got this modern look that screams, “We spent all our budget on glass and steel, and none on charm.” The buildings are so new they practically glow in the dark. I mean, seriously, it looks like a spaceship landed and decided to open a school. It’s very clean, but also very... soulless. I felt like I was walking through a giant office building rather than a place where you’re supposed to feel excited about learning.nnAnd the cafeteria? Oh boy. I was really looking forward to some tasty school lunches, but what I got was a lesson in culinary disappointment. The “fresh” salad bar looked like it hadn’t seen a green vegetable in ages. The fruit was so sad, I’m pretty sure it’s been there since last semester. I tried the “special” of the day, and I’m still not sure what it was. It was so bland, I’m convinced they forgot to add any seasoning at all.nnThe staff are nice, but they have this habit of making every announcement sound like it’s a life-or-death situation. “Attention students: The bell is going to ring in exactly 5 minutes and 32 seconds. Please prepare yourselves accordingly, or face the wrath of a thousand detentions!” It’s a bit much, and honestly, it just made me want to roll my eyes and look at my phone instead.nnThe tour was, well, an experience. Our guide seemed more interested in their phone than actually showing us around. We ended up walking in circles so many times that I started to think we were part of a reality show. I’m still not sure if we ever actually saw all the important parts of the school.nnSo, in summary, if you’re into futuristic buildings with all the personality of a robot, food that’ll make you wish you’d skipped lunch, and a campus tour that doubles as a cardio workout, Emmanuel College Point Cook is your dream school. If not, you might want to check out somewhere with a little more character and a little less “lost in space.”nnP.S. If anyone knows where I can get a decent snack, hit me up. I’m still starving.
This school only cares about their bottom line, academic results and not the mental well being of their students, dismissing diagnosis for mental health as not an excuse for behavior or acknowledging it as maybe the cause they just want these kids out of their hair then offer very little support to families in relocating the student etc, they have a vice principal which is purely there for corporate results and has zero personality and relatability to everyday people, if you just want to spend money for school and not care about your child’s mental health this is the school for you.
The assortment of firearms I was given once I entered the bathroom was baffling and unbelievable. The bullies mugged me and took my AR but luckily I still had my AK47. Don't send your kids here.
i went to school then i saw mamadook and he started to throw hands with me i barely stood a chance , the birds were crazy man and i slipped on a condom it was wild , mamadook is another breed
Lots of vaping and students living in bathrooms which teachers ignore, with the emailed house leaders/principals brushing it off. Only 1 bathroom for year 7+ with most students not going to the bathrooms at all because the useful teachers decided to not care. The door locks were broken 3 years ago, they are still not fixed at all. At least install alarms, we are wasting our school fees so that the principal can buy drugs that she is snorting as she cannot even fix commonly reported issues. If the teachers are so scared of fixing these issues they could just report this as youth crime.nnHappy that this is my last year at this terrible school, got a detention this month for wearing the wrong coloured socks.nnThrowaway account as the school denied access to making reviews, they are self aware.
