Love the yoga room! Reformers room a little too big, only half the room has a mirror. Soothing massage room. & everyone's fave: the ice bath. Warm bath & sauna's great too. Only issue is some people don't shower before jumping in, & the signs are small. Gets gross quickly, & I once saw a little worm wriggling in the ice bath. Told reception but ...
Joined recently to build muscle as doing a lot of cardio but as we age we need to build/retain muscle. Main gym is a huge area with a lot of machines, I feel a bit uncomfortable in this area as I’m older and not as fit and toned as the younger ladies. I tend to stay in the ladies room for my workout and I would really love to see this moved to one of the larger rooms the bathrooms are clean and tidy and the staff are very friendly.
The only two adductor machines are locked away in the woman's only room. Are men not allowed to train adductors?nnAlso they took away the tap to hose out the steam room so it smells like seafood all the time. It sits at a disgustungly low temperature without being hosed out regularly. The water and sweat is stagnant and slimy and smells horrible.nnBring the hose back to the recovery and bring a damn adductor machine to the gym floor... Please. Great gym and staff and facilities otherwise.
I wish to provide constructive feedback on EMF's contract terms. Despite being informed of a $100 sign-up fee for a non-lock-in contract with no cancellation fees, the actual terms did not reflect this assurance. While understanding the presence of terms and conditions, clarity regarding obligations is essential. EMF should enhance communication to prevent reputation damage and foster member trust. Revising contract terms for clarity and alignment with promises would benefit both EMF and its consumers.
Overall the facility itself is 5 stars.nI'm assuming the staff shortage is hitting them because the closing hours are soo early.nAC wasn't on today. Maybe they are having issues with it? I couldn't hit a super hard workout because I was so light headed from overheating. Fans were not avail in all the workout spaces so airflow wasn't always an option.nAgain don't let this change your mind about the gym. These are easy fixes I'm sure the team there will work out.
