This was the 3rd aged care facility that my father who has dementia has been to. He had been at a Regis facility and a Bupa facility. Beuhler Aged Care have three facilities in their ownership with Clarinda Manor their most recent. My dad is in the Dementia specific unit. We all (mum, dad and I) are extremely happy and thankful for the daily care that they provide to him. He has settled in extremely well. They only have dedicated and trained PCA's. Their staff are very caring and actually want to help understand the differences of each resident. I truly believe that each resident needs to be matched to the facility, a person who fitted in at Regis may not work here. The best way for residents to get the best care is by the family communicating the needs/behaviours of their loved ones. Clarinda Manor were very thankful with the information that we provided, and they worked with us to ensure dad was settled in really well. As with any aged care facility that deal with difficult situations - they have their fair share of difficulties which they always communicate with the residents families in a really prompt and professional. Overall, we are extremely happy and are truly grateful for the staff and management - Robyn (General Manager) was truly welcoming and accommodating regarding payment options as well.
