I recently purchased a new Akubra hat but I wanted a cloth inner band as I found the inner leather band too uncomfortable especially in warmer weather. I looked everywhere and couldn't find anyone who could do it or I could trust to do it. Thankfully I finally found Catherine at Embellish Atelier and am so glad I did! They understood exactly what I wanted and did a fantastic job at a price that pleasantly surprised me. I also enjoyed visiting the studio and saw a lot of other satisfied customers. I can't recommend Catherine enough and I am happy too be yet another very satisfied customer!
The very talented ladies at Embellish Atelier Balmain are so amazing . I have been looking for several years now for a very particular style of sun hat, with NO luck. These wonderful ladies made 4 incredible hats and matching masks in the exact style I've been looking for. I am so greatful I found Catherine & Nozomi . New hat band done quickly, well and reasonably priced
I received my course materials in time to commence my course. The lesson was delivered professionally. It was easy to understand and follow along with. I enjoyed the class. I have studied under Catherine previously and will hopefully undertake further short course conducted by her in the future when able.
I had a wonderful 4 days creating hats in the 4 hats in 4 days course. We learnt a range of techniques and styles and Catherine is a gentle, inclusive and practical teacher. I would thoroughly recommend the course. A really lovely experience.
Cathy is an absolutely professional with skills that are second to none! I came to Cathy with my mums very loved but very 80’s! veil and headpiece and with no idea how it could be modernised to be used at my own wedding. Cathy saw the headpiece and immediately knew how to expertly transform it into an updated family heirloom that will be loved by future generations. Nothing was too much for Cathy - she even hand dyed my veil multiple times to ensure that it matched my dress perfectly. All of that skill is matched only by her beautiful personality - she is so welcoming and warm. I would recommend Cathy without a moments hesitation.
The course was amazing! I learnt so much from Cath and can’t wait to do the straw hat making course in September. Highly recommend this for anyone wanting to make their own hat and learn from the best.

This busy little studio turns out the most wonderful hats and head pieces as Catherine, head milliner, is a powerhouse of ideas and creativity. There is also a great boutique selection of designer clothes and gifts.
