I trust Dr Jack implicitly with our Dog. He is the only Vet that properly diagnosed an issue with our 12yr old Labrador when other vets had missed or misdiagnosed her issue at great cost to us. Jack took the time to listen to us and our concerns and looked at all the evidence we had and then suggested a course of action that was both the correct diagnosis and that put us on a path for a care plan that would help out girl get the best out of life.
You’re all right about Jack being money hungry. Also spent thousands on our new pet golden retriever. He gave us everything under the sun, plus pushing the pet insurance scandals on us to. Once he had done crossing off all the paper work for our pet insurance. It did not state Parvo virus and Giardia virus. He told me if they contact you just to say she ate contaminated sole.. Once again $ is everything to this man and his staff, who seem to go along with it all. Serial money grabbers! It’s was our first animal and like parents we would want the best for our animal. I’ll honestly do more home work before heading to vets and trusting them with money. Most general check ups shouldn’t end with hundreds and thousands being spent. Just an ear infection cost me over $500. Honestly I try the holistic approach as much as I can these days. Just like big farmer, big health insurance, vet companies want to line their pockets to.
We took our cat who had a serious fall. Various costly X-rays later and was told needs an operation to rectify, quoted thousands. We said we couldn’t afford it and unfortunately we would have to put the very old cat down. Pet insurance was also asked about relating to our dog…. etc etc. When we couldn’t pay for the operations was offered injections over a few weeks. Low and behold 1.5 years later cat is jumping off 2 metres fences and happy as ever. Lucky we didn’t go with the ‘operation’. Miracle
Wouldn’t take my dog anywhere else. The care provided by Dr Jack and his nurses is above and beyond- they treat my dog like their own.
Very caring and gentle towards animals, unlike other vets that become desensitised towards living creatures.
I took my dog to this vet as we had been before for vaccinations and everything previously had seemed to go ok. My dog had a cough & was wretching. I left him with the vet nurse and called back to check. When I spoke to Jack, he spent a lot of time talking about pet insurance & costs & rattled off a list of procedures we needed including x-rays & surgery. I asked if there was a simple way to check if the dog’s airway was obstructed. His concern over me getting pet insurance and costing of procedures outweighed the discussion over my dog. When he mention a $2K + bill, I asked him to stop everything & I’ll come & pick up my dog. He had put a tube in my dogs arm without asking & charged me $250 for having done nothing. I took him to another vet who diagnosed my dog with kennel cough in 10 minutes & gave me cough mixture.
This guy only cares about money. I took my dog in to check his eyes. He only looked at one eye and tried to convince me that he needed a dental ... he spent most of his time trying to sell me a dental.. unbelievable....and tried to sell me some nonsense overpriced medication for a simple irritation. Scumbag! Avoid taking your pets here. Also a friend of mine had her pup sick and he over prescribed antibiotics and medications ...was later confirmed by another vet that it wasn't necessary.
Friendly and expert service from a team that clearly cares deeply for the animals they treat.
Turned up here in an emergency as couldn’t see our regular vet. Jack appears friendly but he is not particularly good with animals & VERY money oriented/ greedy. Our kitty had a ligament rupture which any vet should be able to pick up straight away but Jack was only able to do so after sedating our cat and an X-ray. Charged us extra to bring her out of sedation! Total bill $1100 plus!! I asked him to send the full medical notes and X-rays to my regular vet and he still hasn’t done so after multiple requests- very poor ethics! Oh not to mention, he asked if we have insurance - everyone knows what kind of vet asks that question on a very first visit!!!
Dr Jack is an incredibly warm and caring vet. He's careful to explain every part of the procedure, and to talk you through each option and how he'd like to proceed. We always appreciated that he understood we wanted the best for our cat, but also that cost can be a concern. Over several years Jack dealt with a range of our cat's health problems, and I'd recommend Jack to anyone.
