So glad we found this little cafe on the main street, you are greeted by nice and friendly staff. The prices are very reasonable and not over priced. The serving sizes are big and food and coffee is amazing.nnHighly recommend.
Good coffee and food, staff are friendly and helpful. However, I’ll suggest tone down the bass of the music, bass doesn’t suit cafe vibe, and it vibrated a bit n made it uncomfortable.
Title: A Missed Opportunity for Classic French FarennReview: I recently visited a cafe, Elli & Ivy, that seemed promising with its quaint ambiance and the promise of a good croque monsieur toastie. Unfortunately, the experience was underwhelming. The sandwich, a staple of French cuisine, was served without mustard, which is akin to serving pasta without sauce. It lacked the tangy kick that mustard provides, leaving the flavors unbalanced and bland.nAs per societal norms, I didn't bring this up directly and instead waited 'til I was home to go online and compose a review.nTo add to the disappointment, the restroom facilities were located in a storage cupboard, which was both unconventional and uncomfortable. While the cafe has potential, these missteps in service and setup led to a less than satisfactory visit.nTwo stars for the effort, but there’s much room for improvement.
Hard to fault the offering here, especially if you’re there for breakfast or brunch. Actual lunch options are a bit limited but don’t worry, the limited options there are still pretty good. Coffee is good by small regional town standards and the tasty fresh baked muffins are a meal unto themselves.
Open 7am for an early feed. The coffee is good. I ordered a second one after my breakfast. Scrambled eggs on sour dough bread. It's definitely my go-to breakfast place when in Alexandra.
