Went there for a book launch. The food and service were great. Eventhough the place was fully booked they managed to fit us in. Prices for drinks are reasonable.
Hands down amazing Mexican food! From the Birria Tacos to the Churros with dulce de leche! Aesthetic was spot on, service so accommodating, and the Chef - talented and strikingly handsome. Glad I came before they close for good
Had a reservation for my partners birthday two weeks in advance. Got confirmation and everything to discover the restaurant was closed for the night. During a time where every restaurant is booked out months in advance it was near impossible to re book another night. Am so frustrated by this. Don’t book here.
We got home delivery of wings and tacos plus a couple of margaritas - so good! Cant wait till we're free again and can chill on the balcony for Friday night drinks FYI the latest negative reviews seem suss seeing Sydney has been in lock down for the last 6 weeks - some people are just a-holes in lockdown!
8pm sat night only half full and I can see why ! Staff are completely void of any customer service ! I ordered a Diet Coke that took 15 min not to come ! Then told they don’t have after 15 min of nothing so o I got one at servo across the road . Shouldn’t have to do that ‍‍‍ Our meal finally came out looking so sad and chicken uncooked food terrible !! DO NOT GO HERE ITS DISGUSTING!!!! And edwardo the cook needs to be sacked immediately! Hello where is the owner ????
El Sol have lost customers. Have been here a few times before as there is usually a good vibe with good drinks and average tasting food. Booked for 12 people on a Friday night and 3 of us ordered main meals along with a couple of guac & chips share plates. I should also mentioned we all ordered drinks, including a couple of $30 Sangria jugs. My friend wanted to order a bottle of red wine but staff informed her they didn't have any full bottles so she could only order by the glass does this mean they were serving GOON? When the food came out the manager told us that next time we come everyone would have to order a main meal or be charged $10 pp as it was a busy night and if her boss saw that we weren't all eating he would be "pissed off". Could NOT believe it considering we had easily spent over $200 in the first 10 minutes. She carried on and after that all of the staff were rude and slow. We drank and ate quickly and left to go elsewhere. Ridiculous customer service, won't be going back.
Disappointing is an understatement. Visited with a group of friends on a Sunday night, I paid $17 for a plate of beef nachos and received an uninspiring entree-sized plate of cornchips with minimal beef and toppings. I remember ordering the same dish years ago and getting a massive helping of delicious nachos with more than plenty of the good stuff. Bring back the old menu/chef because what we all received was pathetic. Service was less than welcoming with our plates being cleaned up and the bill being placed down as one slow eater in our group was still going. We definitely won't be back
What a spot! Luke you're a legend thanks so much for your hospitality had such a great evening. Food was delicious and cooked by a handsome chef!! music was great .. cocktails hit the spot and the tequila was flowing! Keep it up team. We can't wait to come back and visit you again soon!
Always 5 star. This place has character,it has atmosphere, it has good service and it has great food and drinks. We've been coming here for years from when the kids were quite young. I've been to Mexico, eaten the food, drank the beer, surfed the surf. This place ain't bad. Grab ya self a margarita.
Was sceptical going in for recent bday party but was blown away by the service and professionalism of the staff during current pandemic climate. Food well presented and tasty although the guacamole needs work salt, tomato, tobassco will definitely be back to support local business
