Front of house manners need work, not talking from behind the bar. Window sills need cleaning, food scraps. Vegetable tempura batter was thick and under cooked, old oil taste. Katsu egg chicken average. Chicken noodle was best dish. Room for improvement.
A rare Japanese restaurant in Hamilton who offers classic Japanese delicious. No crazy spicy chicken sushi, no western Japanese food at all. If you want to have taste the real flavour of Japanese food. Here is the right choice. Strongly recommend Seafood don, eel don. Enough for a men. Not like the iJapanese restaurant nearby, stingy to give more rice.
Food came out very fast and was good, very tasty. Reminded me a lot of my time back in Japan. Big portions, we couldn't finish the Ramen! The Okonomoyaki was amazing, perfectly made! We got a really big portion of takowasabi. Wish we could choose the noodles in our ramen as they were the thin long type. Medium spicy on the spicy miso ramen noodles was pretty hot, the spicy ramen was less so.
Amazing tempura, so fresh and crunchy with a wide variety. As well as their noodle dishes, never fails to fill us up and tastes so good. I usually get the tempura udon dish and it's just great everytime.
Not the best Japanese restaurant in Halmiton. The ramen we ordered was super salty, someone might pour half bag of salt in it.
Not the best Japanese restaurant you can find in Hamilton. I felt the place lacked lot of details from the menu, quality of the food that was served, the staff and their service, and general hygiene of their toilet. As per the comments from others made on Teriyaki Chicken Don, the dish was served different to what the picture on the menu suggested and what I was expecting. A bit overpriced for what it offers. I won't be going back again.
When I come here the owner is the kindest person whoever brings the food out from the kitchen.
A wide variety to choose from on the menu, there is I think 8 pages total so definitely takes some time to look through it all. I have visited EDO a few times, the food has always been great and still comes out within half an hour despite busy, peak hour periods. FOH waitress is very polite and is always observant of customers - always ready to help. Some of the seafood is not fresh though which is a bit of a let down. I would prefer quality, over a large quantity menu. Also water is pre-poured at the counter which is not so appealing, I do not know how long the water has been sitting there.
Great food! Great price! Great customer service! The food never disappoints, patience is a virtue, and sometimes the wait is a little longer but is worth the wait. Customer service is good the servers are always checking in you.
Today we tried this place for the first time and it was awesome! We had delicious sushi and a soft shell crab All of the food was well prepared and so good. There were four of us and everyone enjoyed their food.
