About A place for teachers at Independent Schools in WA to connect about issues related to students with diverse learning needs and abilities. Story The Inclusive Education Team at the Association of Independent Schools of WA are available to support Independent Schools in WA with all issues related to students with diverse learning needs. This includes disabilities, learning difficulties, gifted education, mental health, behaviour, social/emotional literacy, Universal Design for Learning (UDL), inclusion and differentiation. This is a place to share ideas and information, discuss issues, offer encouragement, and connect with other teachers who work with students with diverse needs and abilities. IMPORTANT: Please respect the confidentiality of individuals and do not give names or other details that may identify students, parents or colleagues. Mission To promote discussion and networking among teachers at Independent Schools in WA."The Association of Independent Schools was established in 1962 as a non-profit organisation to support, represent and promote the interests of Independent Schools. AISWA is incorporated under the Industrial Relations Act.AISWA's constituent members include over one hundred and fifty-five Independent Schools. Its member schools educate over 75,000 students accounting for just over 16% of Western Australian school enrolments. These schools employ over 5,500 teaching and over 3,500 non-teaching staff."
