About The Masonic Hotel, Waitara is an 8 guest room hotel and bar Waitara is located just off State Highway 3, just by Waitara river and a walk to the beach Story The Masonic Hotel, Waitara is a newly renovated hotel which was opened in July 1880. Waitara is located just off State Highway 3, 15 km northeast of New Plymouth. We are just a stone throw away from the Waitara River and the esplanade walk to Marine Parade Waitara Beach. The Hotel features 8 rooms – 6 King bed rooms which can be converted to singles, and 1 Queen size bedroom and one triple room.. All the rooms have ensuites with flat screen TVs, coffee & tea making facilities, luxury bed linen and pillows, bathroom amenities and wireless internet. We welcome children and have fold away beds that can be added to most rooms.
