About Kia ora. This is the official page of Ara Institute of Canterbury. Ara was created in 2016 when CPIT and Aoraki Polytechnic merged. We’re one of the South Island’s largest tertiary institutes, offering practical, industry recognised qualifications. Story Kia ora.
