About Blenheim's premier gift and souvenir shop with NZ style jewellery sourced from its beautiful landscapes and crafted on site in our studio jewlnz@xtra.co.nz Open Mon-Sat 9am to 5pm Sun 10am to 4pm Story A proudly locally owned and operated store, Blue Penguin New Zealand Gifts is based in Blenheim, at the top of the South Island of New Zealand. Owners Roland van Asch and Xuemei Zhang brought the business in July 2011. Roland and Xuemei met in China in 1998 and 13 years later, were drawn back to New Zealand, particularly to Roland's home where he grew up, in the hunt for a Blenheim business with a strong Marlborough focus. And Blue Penguin Gifts it was to be. Originally named 'Gifts on Grove', the purchase allowed Roland and Xuemei to settle in the 'wine town' and build a business they were truly inspired to represent. Blue Penguin stocks a wide range of quality gifts including New Zealand-made jewellery, hand-crafted right here in our studio. We also sell superb bone and New Zealand Greenstone (Jade) carvings, clothing, knitwear, luxurious NZ possum-merino woollen garments, natural beauty products, organic foods, art and much more. We are easy to find, just opposite the Blenheim railway station at 1A Nelson Street with ample off-street parking.
