About Our museum is about recognising the role Carnarvon played in the NASA manned space program and OTC Satellite Earth Station. Completely run by volunteers. Story Phase One officially opened on June 23 by Buzz Aldrin (American Astronaut). Phase Two opened by Andy Thomas (Australian born Astronaut September 2014. Phase Three to be opened in April 2016. Our "Apollo Experience" is a video & surround sound launch of Apollo 11 in our full size capsule mock-up. Not to be missed! There are many hands on displays, 50 seat theatre showing a number of short Carnarvon space related films, interactive computers, memorabilia and much more.
