Story ‘You don’t see many restaurants like this anymore’ Nicholas Jordan, Broadsheet Sydney's much loved seafood restaurant, is located just off Manly beach in a landmark site that locals have long admired. The Herring Room is family owned & run by local veterans of the industry. The Herring Room proudly lists the provenance of all of our seafood, selecting only the highest quality from sustainable & environmentally sensitive fisheries. All our seafood is sourced locally from Australia & New Zealand & is matched with the best of local, seasonal & sustainable produce. It's set in 1920’s inspired space with good old fashioned hospitality. It's bistro styled meals are delivered confidently, inspired by flavours from all around the world. The Herring Room is the sister restaurant to the recently closed & hugely successful, long running restaurant The Sardine Room in Potts Point.
