About Giuseppe & Carmela Madafferi began in a small delicatessen on Sydney Road Brunswick in 1961 to what is now a multi shop icon. Story ***Coffee Bar closed on Sundays*** Now serving 3rd generation customers from all over Victoria and Interstate with competitively priced pantry staples & specialties from Europe. Tinned and bottled vegetables, sauces, olive oils, balsamic vinegars, pulses, porcini mushrooms & over 250 varieties of fancy pasta. The delicatessen hosts aged aromatic Italian prosciutto, Italian specialty regional cheeses such as the famous Parmigiano Reggiano & authentic sheep’s milk Pecorino from Sicily. A meeting place for many people to share an espresso coffee & cannoli at the coffee bar, all almond biscotti & breads are baked in house! There is a great variety of terra cotta cooking pots and kitchen ware adjoining the new dedicated shop area which houses imported soap powders & liquids including the number one degreaser in Italy – “sgrassatore”. Be inspired when organising your next dinner party with our sought after award winning wines from the sun drenched slopes of Sicily to the amazing wines from Piemonte.
