About Richmond Medical is one part of three family medical centres in Melbourne, offering consultations 6 days of the week with either male or female GP's. Story South Yarra Medical and Richmond Medical were founded by Dr Luke Holden and Dr Dan Moylan. They have been long term friends since studying Medicine together at Monash University. Luke and Dan continue to own and operate the clinic. Such doctor involvement is becoming less common with the widespread corporatisation of General Practice. South Yarra Medical was formed in 2007, while Richmond Medical was established in 2009. In late 2016 a third clinic will be opening - Hawthorn Medical - located at 125 Power St, Hawthorn. The focus has always been to provide an excellent level of healthcare - to the level they would wish for their own friends and family. Another priority has been to provide the Clinic’s GPs with industry leading facilities and working conditions. Consequently they have been able to attract the most highly skilled and friendly doctors available, to join the team. The clinics are also involved in the training program for General Practice Trainees.
