About The RUC at Turner bowlo is a fully licensed club perfect your next function, dinner, a game of pool or a few drinks and barefoot bowls. Story The RUC in Barton has merged with Canberra North Bowling Club Turner, giving a new lease on life to one of Canberra’s most historic bowling establishments. The Turner Bowlo, Turners Bowls or just that bowling club close to Civic, it has gone by many nicknames over the years. This new merger will ensure that the North Canberra Bowling Club retains almost 60 years of Canberra history, tradition and experience combined with the same award winning food from the grill with fresh quality ingredients, our much loved beer and wine lists and locally roasted ONA coffee. The only difference is at the RUC at Turner you can enjoy a game of lawn bowls with your afternoon beer, or hold a barefoot bowls competition with your colleagues after work. Enjoy some tunes with music on the green, two large speakers connected to the jukebox ready for every music taste. It is an offence to supply alcohol to a person under the age of 18 years.
