About The Royal Yacht Club of Tasmania is the premier yacht club in Tasmania conducting local events on River Derwent, national and international titles as well as finishing the blue water classic, the Rolex Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race. Story The Club: -Offers members and guests year round racing, cruising and social activities; -Has excellent facilities for dining, meetings, social functions; and has extensive club rooms. -Has long traditions; -Produces top class sailors; -Runs world class events; -Embraces innovation to maintain its leadership in the Tasmanian sailing community; The Royal Yacht Club of Tasmania in addition to its usual summer and winter pennant racing, conducts the annual Sailing South Race Week each January, assists the Cruising Yacht Club of Australia with the conduct of the Rolex Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race and conducts the six week cruise in company around Tasmania every second year.
