About Hip hop, Jazz, tap, Contemporary, Lyrical, ballet, acro, Musical Theartre, singing classes for all ages in Nighctiff, Palmerston and Howard Springs. Story The studio is in its 7th year of operation and caters for many styles of dance. All classes are great for your fitness levels, for the social aspect, are a lot of fun, allow for learning new skills and accommodate ALL age groups. Hip hop/Jazz class - The most popular style. It is a modern style of dance which is up-beat, funky and a lot of fun. Students learn cool moves to the latest hits of today. Boys Hip Hop class - This class is for boys only and hip hop based. Tap - Get your tap shoes out and shuffle around to the latest hits! Contemporary - This style is similar to ballet but less strict and more open to interpretation. The students will still learn techniques and dance to slower modern music. Ballet – A classical style of dance based on strong Technique. All classes run for 1 hour, except for Private lessons. We focus on stretches and techniques during the beginning of class and then we learn dances. These dances are then performed at the markets, festivals and Eisteddfods in Palmerston, Rural and Darwin areas and also at the end of year concert. Sometimes we may perform at other times throughout the year as the opportunity arises. Private Lessons- We provide private lessons for 1 student or a shared lesson for 2 students. Each class runs for ½ hour where the student will learn a solo/due dance that can be performed in competitions throughout the year. Private lessons allow the student to have a more intense lesson to work on their technique and skills. Please note that Students must be enrolled in the group class to participate in private lessons and commit to 12 months of lessons. Class Locations 1. Unit 9/10, 18-20 Essington Ave Gray NT 0830.
