About Meatmaiden is a CBD basement restaurant & bar bringing select cuts of meat to the people Story Meatmaiden is a Melbourne CBD basement restaurant & bar bringing select cuts of meat to the people. We specialise in BBQ, Grill, Craft Beer & Cocktails. Meatmaiden's barbecue hero is the custom-built, wood-burning smoker we brought over from the States. She's kept lit with ironbark from the Blue Mountains and produces our very popular, signature 20-hour smoked Rangers Valley Black Label 5+ Score brisket. We dry age in house before our steaks hit the grill and hang premium, local meat produce such as grass-fed O'Connor bone-in porterhouse for up to 40 days to pack in maximum tenderness and flavour. Each week we also offer rotating special cuts such as Kobe beef or Robbins Island Wagyu, packed with marbling and loads of flavour. We reckon we deliver the best BBQ and Grill in Melbourne. There's also plenty of good drinks, pre-dinner or post-dinner, in our two bars with six taps of craft beer, eclectic cocktails and a sharp, locally-focused wine list. We are open for lunch and dinner, Monday to Saturday. We also offer a $30 Express Lunch (Meat Xpress) lunch deal for CBD workers which includes a starter, side, main and a drink. Our current menu includes steak frites, fried chicken and braised beef cheek. Our venue seats up to 120 people and is perfect for business lunches, client lunches, catching up with friends, family, an intimate dinner or group dinner or just late night drinks and bar snacks. We can cater for large groups and are available for semi-private and private functions for those special occasions. We keep it casual and relaxed and focus on you having the best lunch or dinner experience.
