About We are a community of Christians seeking to make our small part of the world a better place. Story We are a community of Christians seeking to make our small part of the world a better place. One of the characteristics of the times in which we live is that many people are suspicious of churches. Some remember or have heard negative or painful experiences, while others mistrust all religions. We believe that Christianity - and Jesus who is the heart of Christianity - is good news for individuals, families, and all kinds of people. Everyone has a bit of religion and spirituality in them, and Glen Iris Road Uniting Church seeks to encourage people at all stages of life to practise healthy, life-enhancing faith. Our vision as a community is ‘to build an active, welcoming and creative Uniting Church presence in this region in the present, for the future’. We offer hospitality by inviting all people to participate in services of worship running activities for both the congregation and the community welcoming community groups to find a home in the centre for single events or regular programs engaging in a range of community outreach programs hosting the Glen Iris Road Uniting Church Kindergarten sharing the Centre with Glen Iris Primary School maintaining historical records of the Glen Iris district through our history website opening the Centre each weekday in term time for quiet reflection or to provide assistance to the community in any way we can.
