About Preschool Story Preschool Mission At Busy C’s we believe that parents/whānau (family) are the first educators of their tamariki (children) and we aim to work in partnership to give the tamariki the best early childhood education they can have. We believe in a whānau approach where older and younger tamariki can play and learn together in a safe and nurturing family environment. Our programme follows the principles of Te Whāriki (our NZ Early Childhood Curriculum) and is inspired by the tamariki, allowing plenty of free play so that their interests can emerge and develop. The programme’s flexible nature allows us as kaiako (teachers) to extend on these interests in a range of directions. We are a fun team of qualified Early Childhood Education professionals committed to the learning outcomes of our programme. These outcomes aim to be positive in developing knowledge, skills, and attitudes - and in fostering the tamariki’s sense of themselves as capable, confident people and competent learners.
