About Timber Furniture to last a lifetime Made from Australian hardwood timber; salvaged, recycled and plantation www.evolutionfurniture.com.au Story The furniture created in the workshop of Evolution Furniture is highly valued for its rare appearance, durability and permanence, and environmental consciousness. The Furniture made at Evolution Furniture is hard wearing, quality finished, and has a long life expectancy making it furniture to last a lifetime, and even be passed on to future generations. The timbers are all Australian hardwood that are kiln dried down to the correct moisture content to eliminate such defects as dry rot, warping, splitting, cupping etc. The 2-Pack polyurethane finish gives a hard and scratch resistant finish similar to that of a motor vehicle spray finish. We use superior hardware for handles, sliders, drawer runners, hinges, etc, supplied to us by quality manufacturers including Blum, and Hafele. NT Sawmilling, a partner business with Evolution Furniture under the Trading name of NT Evolution, are the only suppliers of processed kiln dried Australian grown African Mahogany timber for the furniture industry in Australia. The unique, contrasting colours and grain of the mahogany timber sets our creations apart from other manufacturers, creating truly special and individual pieces of furniture for your home, office or business place. The colours in the timber can vary as broadly as a Top End sunset, ranging from reds through to burgundy, orange, gold, yellows and cream, featuring swirls and patterns of the inimitable interlocking grains. We use Jarrah timber to contrast the mahogany in our furniture for aesthetic value bringing out the unique qualities of each timber. Design can be exclusive, and developed with close consultation between our qualified Cabinet Makers and you the client, to create a truly unique and individual piece of furniture to your requirements, to last a lifetime. Products Our unique range of custom designed pieces are created in our workshop in Yarrawonga, just out of Darwin in the Northern Territory, from materials chosen for their strength, durability over time, and their aesthetic value. All of our furniture is finished with a 2-Pack polyurethane satin finish lacquer, however we will provide other finishes if required. Using Salvaged and Recycled Timber Environmentally, it is the only choice in furniture. Evolution Furniture creates timeless value from timber which would be otherwise dumped or burned, turning waste into quality longwearing beautiful furniture. Some clients have ordered furniture made from trees felled on their own properties. Each piece has its own story to tell.
