Story Somerville House is an independent, Prep to Year 12 Girls’ Day School, Years 6–12 Boarding, and Co-educational Pre-Prep program. Located in South Brisbane, an inner-city suburb of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. Somerville House is a school of the Presbyterian and Methodist Schools Association. The PMSA is a mission of the Presbyterian and Uniting Churches. Established in 1899 as The Brisbane High School for Girls, the School was eventually named after the British scientific writer, Mary Somerville (1780–1872).
