"The Design School is a private school established in Palmerston North in 1993 by Bob McMurray. Originally known as The Palmerston North School of Design the school started with 14 students and was situated in Maire St, Palmerston North.The School has a proud history and is acknowledged as the top foundation design school in New Zealand. We have continually held the highest quality ratings from NZQA reviews and to date we have over 700 successful graduates. The Design School draws on a wealth of experience and many graduates have attained prestigious degrees and fulfilling careers.We teach foundation design which encompasses the basic design principles, core thinking and visual skills required to be successful in the design industry."
