"Sandringham Small Bore & Air rifle Club was established in April 1900 with Mr. Abbott being elected the first club president. A temporary 30 & 45 yard range was constructed in Mr Abbotts's paddock.With a 800 yard range at Quite corner Beaumaris being enclosed with a barbed wire fenceThe current club house was opened in Septemeber 1915 and has recently been restored and upgraded.The Club offers training in safe handling and use of firearms, shooting air rifle and .22cal over a distance of 10 metres , prone shooting at 20 metres.Various competitions are run at the club, state, national and international level including Commonwealth and Olympic Games. Potential new members must be aged between 12 years or over."
