About The Capricornian offers a menu based on traditional ideals of nourishment freshness and flavour. A Menu which is in part contemporary without being overcome by food fashion...essentially, modern Australian cuisine with some world influences. Story The Capricornian Restaurant takes it name from its location, being situated on the Tropic of Capricorn at 23.5ºS latitude. The restaurant began trading in July 2003 from purpose built premises in the township of Emerald in the Central Highlands district of Queensland, Australia. An interior of soothing terra cotta and chocolate tones dressed with white linen provides a backdrop of casual elegance over dinner. With a variety of dining areas and menu packages on offer The Capricornian experience can be anywhere from casual to five star. The Food Philosophy The Capricornian offers a menu based on traditional ideals of nourishment freshness and flavour. Eclectic by nature, the menu is structured with the depth and versatility to accommodate both the special occasion and casual diner alike...a menu that can be comfortably dined on with a degree of frequency. “We use only premium quality ingredients at the restaurant: MSA grade beef, Wagyu beef, express freighted seafood from our Eastern seaboard and wild barramundi from the Gulf of Carpentaria - together with inhouse stocks and sauces and hand made desserts.
