Story Pencilmark Lane is a family-owned and -operated specialty children's retail store located at 3 Doveton Street North, Ballarat, Victoria, Australia. Our focus is well-designed, Australian-made and hand-crafted clothing, accessories, toys, gifts, keepsakes, decor and homewares for babies and children aged newborn to eight. We also stock a wonderful range of locally-produced and genuinely eco-friendly stationery, cards, wrap and party goods. We believe in form following function, which means – despite having a distinctly heirloom / vintage / retro feel – the kids’ products we sell are meant to be played in or with, not stored in a wardrobe for ‘good’ or kept high on a shelf for ‘later’. We value quality over quantity, have faith in fair trade and uphold the notion that good design – as opposed to ‘designer goods’ – shouldn't cost the Earth.
