About HelpingMinds provides mental health services and carer support. Contact hours: 8.30am - 4.30pm Monday to Friday Story HelpingMinds offer a wide range of free services to friends and families of those who are affected by a mental illness. Services include Free professional counselling Support groups with peers Workshops and programs Dealing with the mental health system School education to fight stigma School holiday programs for 8 – 18 years Pamper days for friends and families Breaks away to our holiday homes All of our services are free, confidential and everybody is welcome. HelpingMinds began in 1976 as ARAFMI (WA) Inc. the Association of Relatives and Friends of the Mentally Ill. In 2016 we celebrated our 40th anniversary of supporting families and friends of people with a mental health issue and 29 years of incorporation as a charity.
