About Marist-Sion College is a coeducational Catholic independent school founded in 1975 in Warragul, Victoria, Australia. Story Marist-Sion enrols students from towns spanning from Trafalgar to Nar Nar Good, and from Neerim District and Ellinbank District. Marist-Sion serves four local parishes; Warragul, Drouin, Trafalgar and Iona/Maryknoll. The College is one of the founding members of the Association of Marist Schools of Australia. Marist-Sion College was formed in 1975 as a result of the merger between St Joseph's College, a boys' conducted by the Marist Brothers, and the Our Lady of Sion College, a secondary school for girls. Its central purpose is to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ, in a spirit of joyful hope. The staff, students and parents form a welcoming community of learners, within which all are respected and encouraged to strive for personal excellence. Our Vision: Marist-Sion College will work to empower students to live out the Gospel message of love in their everyday lives. Our words and actions will show respect for the dignity and uniqueness of each individual. We will foster faith, understanding and compassion, and challenge students to base their lives on truth, charity and constancy. The College will strive to provide an excellent and holistic education which responds to differing needs, so that our students become life-long learners, dedicated citizens and responsible stewards of creation.
