About The Australian Science and Mathematics School (ASMS) is a senior secondary school promoting excellence in science and mathematics education. Story The Australian Science and Mathematics School (ASMS) is a specialist public school that caters for the three final years of schooling (year 10-12) before entry into higher education. Established in 2003, its award winning and purpose-built facility provides an open learning environment and is designed to promote and support collaborative, student-directed learning through an engaging innovative curriculum. ASMS students seek to focus their passion for science and mathematics. They want to learn the science and mathematics of their 21st century world, connected to social issues and technological advances. They want to be challenged and responsible for their learning and be able to engage with their program 24/7. Above all, they want to be treated as individuals. Our students are supported to identify their talents and interests and develop their capabilities and qualities. Mission The Australian Science and Mathematics School (ASMS) is a senior secondary school promoting excellence in teaching and learning in science and mathematics education. The ASMS will be recognised for its leadership of innovation and reform of learning and teaching in science and mathematics. The ASMS is constantly in the process of creating a learning environment for the future that will prepare young people with a passion for study in science and mathematics to be creative, critical, informed and motivated contributors responding to professional, personal and social issues in their world of the future.
