About Dr Elizabeth Jackson is a Cairns obstetrician gynaecologist, specialising in advanced fertility and reproductive techniques, such as intrauterine insemination and IVF. I am Dr Liz Jackson, an obstetrician gynaecologist practicing in Cairns from July 2015. I was born and raised in Queensland with a love of the tropical north. After graduating from medical school at Monash University in Victoria, I have worked in Gold Coast, Townsville, Caboolture, Port Macquarie, Hobart, Burnie, Wagga Wagga, the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (Adelaide) and the Royal Brisbane Women's Hospital. I am a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists having trained in specialist centres Queensland and South Australia. I have specialist skills in fertility medicine and operative gynaecology and have completed Masters Degrees in both of these fields. I am passionate about personalised, high quality healthcare for women. My philosophy for clinical practice is simple- safety through evidence-based medicine. It is a privilege to work with women in all phases of life and I enjoy providing care across the spectrum of womens health in fertility, obstetrics and gynaecology. My practice is at Wallamurra Towers Cairns with admitting privileges at the Cairns Private Hospital, the Cairns Day Surgery and the Cairns Hospital (emergencies only). I also offer private specialist outreach clinics to Mareeba and Atherton. Telehealth consultations are available to patients living in North Queensland.
