Co-run by his family, Carmel (founder and manager), Riccardo (head barista and specialty coffee extraordinaire) and Zegna (head chef and floor manager) this cosy place has racked up some rave reviews in the Herald Sun, Age Epicure and been featured in the Age Good Food Guide, Gourmet Traveller, Age Cheap Eats/Good Food under $30 (winning best new café in 2012). Pure Italian continues to serve and inspire with its fresh, authentic and simple approcach to Italian cuisine, that's prepared from the heart, just a like a Nonna used to make.
