Great little venue that hosts some top local bands and gigs. Has a nice range of local beers and wines. An Adelaide gem!
Relaxing and cozy pub with a mix of traditional and craft beer available. Menu has good options and their burgers are spot on. Staff are super friendly and up for a good chat. Definitely a pub you could call home.
Was very impressed with this pub, they had a $10 menu that I thought would be average, but it was one of the best fish and chips I have ever had, at a pub. Only $10 for that quality is a bargain. There was also a great choice of finer dinning on the menu as well $18-25. Relaxed atmosphere was great too, they played "The Stone Roses", "Fools Gold" while I was eating, classic song, made it a great experience overall.
We had our sons 21st in the beer garden at the Ed yesterday . The staff were amazing, and extremely helpful and friendly. No request was too much. The food was great, and there was plenty of it! The garden was a brilliant area for a party so I can strongly recommend it for anyone. Thank you to everyone at the Ed for making it a great day!
Food was tasty and filling especially for a $10 meal. Staff are really accommodating and nice, they were very understanding and apologetic with an order slip up. Decor is great, really cosy and comfortable atmosphere. Pool table could be better looked after though.
Nice city pub with a large beer garden, good pub meals and easy going staff. The Ed Castle also has regular live music with some of Adelaides best bands as well as regular interstate acts.
Classic old Adelaide pub like they used to be before everything got turned into a cross between a nightclub and a casino. Food great value and tasty, the decor is quirky, nice staff and good selection of drinks. Beer garden has got to be one of the best there is.
Cosy old-style pub. One of the oldest pubs in Adelaide. I come here during work-hours for their amazing all-day $10 menu. Lovely vibe with a large outdoor beer garden.
went for a meal there tonight and it was chaos, ordered bangers and mash easy as... nooo waited 45min and then someone from another table asked if this was my meal, they had it sitting at their table for 5 min. the mash was watery white paste, the 3 scrawny sausages burnt and all was cold. my poor wife waited almost 2 hrs for her meal and got attitude when she complained, it was veggie curry not chicken as she had ordered. it is usually so good here.. new cook perhaps?
Always a friendly, fun and welcoming atmosphere. The staff are helpful and relaxed and the pub grub is probably the best variety and best value for money in Adelaide.
