Be it coffee and croissants or craft beer and crabmeat, Edgar’s does it all and does it well. One of the best places to catch live sport, its closed environment provides an intimate atmosphere for customers. The laidback vibe of this venue really comes through on a Sunday afternoon, with live acoustic music to wrap up your weekend.

Best BLAT I've ever had. Chutney sauce or whatever it was in it took it to another level. My partners beef salad was also great, tender beef chunks. Great atmosphere. Will come back here!
Perfect place for celebrating! Came here for my birthday and had an amazing experience. Good food and service! The wait staff were lovely.
The schnitzel Wednesday deal isn't bad at all - you get schnitzel with chips and a drink for $20, that's as good a deal as you'll get in Canberra. Edgar's Burgers is also delicious option and worth trying. Weeknights are definitely easier to get in than Friday nights and weekends. Regards @fooderarri
Highly recommend The Terrace for great seafood and BBQ. The melt-in-mouth tuna tartare was the highlight for me. We sat at the bar to watch the cooking action. Very engaging team but be warned you'll get very hot! I would have liked a hook under the bar for my handbag but a small complaint for an otherwise incredible 'pub' meal!
Comfortable and friendly local pub. Recently extended its seating space to the happiness of dog owners who want to enjoy the company of their doggy friends. Parking is becoming more difficult so cycling there is becoming more popular. Food is consistently good and service, even on the more distant outside tables is always quick.
I'm referring only to the bar upstairs. 5 stars for ambience and expertly assembled decor like a speakeasy which is on trend right now. And the wine list is extensive and even I cluded not 1 but 2 Priorat wines from Spain and lots of variety from Australia and old world regions for a short wine list. Food was good charcuterie boards at a function so can't comment if menu or food.
I want to go to Edgar’s more, because it has a great local pub feel to it, but the menu options for vegans are pretty bad. I had the cauliflower salad, that was mostly spinach leaves, hardly any pieces of cauliflower and was more like a side salad than a main. I went home hungry.
Checked in for dinner last moment, asked for a table for two, the hostess managed to find a spot for us and then we enjoyed THE BEST BEEF TAGLIATELLE in our 4,5 years dining out in Australia! Wish I had taken a picture, but was too good to wait for the whole dish! 100% homemade taste, the beef pieces were melting in the mouth, the pasta was as it should, not overcooked and just the right quantity of grated cheece, maybe it was Pecorrino, not sure, but it was great!
So, let me tell you about our experience at Edgar's Inn in Ainslie, Canberra, where my family and I had the pleasure of dining recently. I have to say, we were all blown away by the food and atmosphere. First of all, the beer garden was such a great spot to relax and catch up with family. It was spacious and comfortable, and the staff were so friendly and accommodating. We were even more impressed when we found out they had options for our vegetarian family member - it can be tough finding places that cater to everyone's dietary needs, but Edgar's Inn nailed it. And let me tell you, the pizzas were fantastic. We ordered a mix of vegetarian and non-vegetarian options, and everything was delicious. The crust was crispy and chewy at the same time, and the toppings were fresh and flavorful. I don't think I've ever seen my family eat so quickly! Overall, we had such a great time at Edgar's Inn. The atmosphere was perfect for a family gathering, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the food was top-notch. We left feeling satisfied and happy, and we'll definitely be coming back for more. If you're in the area and looking for a great spot to grab some pizza and drinks, do yourself a favor and check out Edgar's Inn. You won't be disappointed!
Wonderful night at Edgar's Inn. Great atmosphere, relaxed and cosy. Staff were polite and attentive. The food and wine were spectacular which made for an overall fantastic evening.
