Terrible experience. Lana, the owner, gave me a cut and color/highlights in December. She was quite pleasant, but my hair results were abysmal. I have had my hair colored/highlighted many times in my 62 years. Lana left the foils/color in for 45 minutes! She never came over to check the progress. Her coworker actually removed the foils at the time determined by Lana. First, she cut my hair dry, which I questioned, but she said it would be 'quicker' - she could cut, then color, then wash and dry. Most prior stylists have done color, then wash, cut and dry. I realize she is the professional and assumed she knew what she was doing. Then, foils removed, way too dark, but my hair does tend to lighten up quickly, so I did not make a fuss. I had told her I was trying to blend in my bangs as I wanted more of a forehead side-swept fringe. She cut my bangs way too short, did not blend them at all. Two days later, I emailed her that I just was not happy with the results. She had me come back in, admitted she realized my 'fringe' was not laying properly when I left the salon the first time! She then asked me if I used a flat iron on my hair as it appeared to be burned. No, I had not even washed my hair since she did my color. She admitted she had probably left the color on too long and chemically burned it. My hair has been breaking and falling out since then. Lana advised I use a gentle, sulfate-free shampoo and a spray conditioner . She even gave me samples. No offer of at least a partial refund. When I read the ingredients on the shampoo she gave me, it has sulfates!! She also cut my husband's hair, cutting a weird chunk out in one spot. He went back on a day she wasn't there and coworker, Melindie, straightened it out as best she could. She commented, 'Well, I don't quite know what happened there'. I have since seen a stylist in Christchurch, who has twice cut my hair and colored beautifully. I went to Lana based on the reviews. I hesitated to write this for some time now, but the more I think about, I wonder if she is just not that interested in doing a great job for every customer. Terribly disappointed and would never go back. I still feel she owes us a partial refund. My hair is still breaking! Teri H.

Got burnt by wax between the eyebrows with no treatment offered but a refund. Left with a visable long dark scar between my eyes up to my forehead.
