Service is swift and the queue was pretty short as the service staff seems to be pretty efficient. Went and ordered the "ultimate ramen" hoping it makes the best of the experience although none of the ramen dishes state what they include and they don't have any customization options in sight. The ramen portion is decent and it seems the "ultimate" just has a slice of all the other meat-based ramen toppings combined : pork chashu, teriyaki chicken, chicken katsu and BBQ pork - all in one dish. While this might sound good, it's actually a mess of tastes without any added value, usually any kind of katsu inside a ramen is destined to lose it's crispness and the broth doesn't work well with the teriyaki chicken either. The broth itself is smooth and creamy tonkotsu broth which is pretty delicate a delightful although they left a bit too much fatiness in it which is definitely not needed as the broth itself is delicious. The broth is probably the highlight here as the toppings were just overall inferior in execution in comparison to the broth. The toppings consisted of ajitama soft-boiled egg - which was good but you're only given one half, menma fermented bamboo shoot - which had the off-flavores of canned menma but was served in good amount, a pork chashu which was tasteful although very dry !, a teriyaki chicken which was just clashing with the taste of the soup, a chicken katsu which was obviously soggy and sad - as with all katsu's I've seen in ramens and finally BBQ pork which was okay as it remained socculant but was just detached from the soup's flavour and therefore unneeded. Overall, I would not go again for that dish but I definitely recommend going for the original tonkotsu ramen the offer and not any other option as the broth is bang-on and shows some caring masterful hand is behind the cooking of it. Hope they'll improve on the toppings as the soup base is solid and could be made into amazing bowls of ramen otherwise.
This place is so great! The food and food options are amazing and their little coffee nook is the best. The lady who works there is always so smiley, sweet and happy. She gets the day off to a good start :
Wow the food here is so fresh and healthy. Great choices of food and salads. I can highly recommend the sorba noodle and seaweed salad yuuuum. New owners are really trying new food incl the tasty and spicy soup with dumplings mmmm. Service is also excellent and value for money serves.
Good noodle and lunch specials. Breakfast specials are good value if your passing through to work. Nice outdoor dining too
