Story

1996 – we went from a small continental deli to over the years breaking down wall by wall expanding to what is referred to now as an institution. East Terrace Continental has become a place of morning and day food, coffee, wine and dining culture. Its been a goal and challenge of ours to keep up with the times but never leaping too far forward and loosing our identity, we feel that we have and are achieving this through the subtle changes over the years.

What we have now is something iconic with a menu of delicious food, rich coffee, fruitful wine and something sweet.

Tasty food, however, quantity wasn't generous. Food presentation wasn't upto the standard of the cafe. Great for family or group dining. Friendly staff but they should work on staffing in busy time. Had to wait around 45 mins for food. Interior decoration was quite thoughtful. Overall, good but not amazing!!
The place to go for breakfast in the CBD. Loads of options, fantastic service and a prime location. I ordered the vegetarian offering and also a green juice and went back the next day for the same and can say that the quality is consistent. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Spacious, comfortable venue - inside and out. View across the park. Close to the Botanic Gardens and free bus service. Excellent coffee. Friendly staff. Tasty food. I often go there.
A great place for morning breakfast. Food servings are generous and hot. Visited 10 times in May and the food was very consistent. Served quickly and the orange juice is freshly squeezed. Will be coming again when time permits. Recommended !!
