I could not fault this place at all... The restaurant was clean, spacious and I loved its fit out... The service was outstanding n the food was delicious! Also the portions in which the food was served against its pricing was great value for money!!!
Always had great experience at East Phoenix. It's go to place when you crave Chinese food and want to eat in a nice setting. The food here is quality, generous and consistent. Recommended their crispy skin chicken, prawn dumplings and their fried rice is pretty good. The wait staff aren't as friendly but have some patience and they will accommodate you when you ask for anything.
Food is great and decent for the price you pay. Peking duck was very good however the shallots were not the freshest. Xo scallops and abalone amazing.
Many thanks for the wonderful staffs. The price are actually quite reasonable. Good service. It is quick for a Sunday Night. Peking duck tastes rich, meaty, thick with decent quality. OMG And XO SEAFOOD is a must have.
Always get live seafood from here and its cooked well. Never have to book and very convenient parking below. Waiter's a bit slow and don't talk much but food is good - can't complain.
If you are in the eastern suburbs or just landed to Sydney Airport, please take 2 hours off to try this amazing yumcha in Zetland. Be prepare to wait for a while if you go during peak lunch hours between 12 to 1pm but the wait is nothing compared to the amazing dim sum that you can eat here! Only wish they have more staff and dim-sum to accommodate so many hungry customers! We come here pretty much every other Sunday, first thing the restaurant opens of course.
East Phoenix is a good Chinese restaurant that serves great food at budget prices can’t fault much about this place , it’s clean, spacious, seriously tasty food highly recommend the duck pancakes and service is quick and efficient. Our go to when in the area because we always get the same consistency like every other time we’ve been.
Nice, but getting expensive. Basically everything starts at $9.50 per dish. These are small share plates so each person will eat several worth. Easily spend 50 an adult. Adds up quickly. I guess like many things. The quality of some foods is dropping. The cheung fun, supposed to be smooth and soft, was like a wet towel. A few of the dumplings lacked flavour too. Position is also very important. Many of the carts only go around the main area and if you're off to the side or to the corner will not get any food unless you go out fishing for it. This is a common problem with Cantonese restaurants and the problem is from not training the staff. The staff think their job is to empty the cart which they can do by only going around the main area. The real job is really to offer the food to every single table on the floor.
Many trolleys stopping and offering food. Food was very good. Not my usual Yum Cha, but will go back. Parking free for two hours nearby. They accept Payo.
We have been hankering for Chinese meal for a few months now. I've heard good things about East Phoenix, so it's was time to satisfy my cravings. The service wasn't great. Perhaps this is the post-epidemic epidemic where we are bound to endure poor service for the next year. On to the food. As poor as the service, the food was very good. Served out of order, but still very nice. The lamb and beef was tender and tasty, the dumplings plentiful. Stand-out dish was pippies in XO sauce on a bed of vermicelli noodles. Finishing with mango pancakes. Yum.
